This band was formed in Delhi in August '98 to serve the purpose of metalheads who have never got what they die for ... YET!!!The basic idea behind the band was to make it a Thrash band . the surviving members of Corpse Candle are: Sumit : Guitars/Vox/Manager Anupam: Bass Shek : Guitars/Backing Vox Rahul : Drums/Backing Vox Enuff PPL have asked me what the name means..well here is the theory behind it... The name was given by Sumit and according to him it refers to a candle which is lit on top of the coffin of a dead man when the Post life Rituals are being performed!!! | What are our influences??? |
Well bassically this band came about to be a heavier band than most and concentrated to be a thrash band . however our influences vary...especially from member to member,but these are the common ones: Metallica Megadeth Pantera Iron Maiden And here are the individual influences, Here are Mine ... Sepultura,Obituary,Grip Inc.,Slayer,Death,Cradle Of Filth,Every Mother's Nightmare. Shek and me share almost the same influences. Here is what gets Sumit pepped...Joe Sat,Steve Vai,Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci. And here's the Anupam part of influences ... Rush and Dire Straits. As for our Favourites : Mine (drummers) : Sir Lars Ulrich (Metallica) Dave Lombardo (Grip Inc.) Abhishek Arora (Every Mother's Nightmare) Shek's (guitarist) : Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) And above all our biggest inspiration comes from our GIRLFRIENDS!!! | ||||||||||||||||
